This is my first ever blog post here on blogspot. I'm going to dedicate this entire blog to total health, inside and out. I've spent so many years abusing my body andn trying to "force it to submit," and all the while forgeting that I only get one body and one life, and its up to ME to keep it running in tip top shape so I can live not only the longest life possible, but at the highest quality of life.
Here's a little bit about me that you won't find in my profile. I am a recovering bulimic. Eating disorders have been commonplace in my life since Summer 2001, about ten years. I've been sick of living my life that way and for the past few years have been trying to make recovery possible for me. It's been a bumpy road and I have to keep myself motivated and on track every day! I figure if I start a new blog determined to recovery and to taking my health to a new and higher level I can help myself stay on track and help others in similar circumstances, or just help anyone that wants to live a healthier life.
Some of the topics I want to blog about include: Low GI eating to help minimize binge cravings and stress on the body, healthy recipes, staying active, living more naturally and ECO friendly, etc.
